In Busselton, a small town south of Perth. They don’t get many cruise ships so they had really made a huge effort to make us welcome. There’s not a lot to do so we wandered down Main Street taking in the sights and sounds. The QM2 is too large to get in close to the jetty, so we were moored 3 miles off and were ferried back and forth on tenders (otherwise known as the ship’s lifeboats). The weather was fine in the morning but the rain came in at about 2.00pm, the result was that people who had chosen to ride on top of the tender got quite wet as you will see from the photo — still, it was warm rain. The other picture is me with Mr Bussel, the founder of Busselton (in around 1840, I believe)

The kids said the lifeboat story and picture was cool
